Undergraduate Research Institute in STEM
The aims of this program are to develop, share, and integrate into research programs ideas and experiences on best practices in mentoring undergraduates in research, including recruiting students from diverse backgrounds; building a diverse and inclusive community of researchers; managing large numbers of undergraduate researchers in terms of managing time and communicating; and doing research while in a pandemic.
We invite applications from both experienced and newer faculty.
At the end of the Institute, participants will submit a summary document with best practices they will aim to include into their research. Participants who complete the program will receive $750 towards faculty development or research supplies. Applications in the form of a short paragraph indicating reasons for interest in the program are due July 8th.
