Statistics students connected the dots when The Bert Show’s hosts needed two routes mapped to visit more than three dozen metro area Jersey Mike’s locations in a single day for a fundraiser on March 28. With 13,763,753,091,226,345,046,315,979,581,580,902,400,000,000 different possible routes, we could not just brute-force check each one to see which was fastest,” said Joe DeMaio, professor of mathematics and data science. “Our first task was to determine a good split.”
